A Big Fish is Waiting for Me! is inspired by my favourite place in the world, Nelson Bay. Each school holidays we sit on the wharf at Little Beach, and watch the local grandparents teach their city grandchildren how to fish.
​Even though these grandparents want to catch fish almost as much as their grandchildren, they know the real goal of fishing is spending quality time together.​ These beautiful grandparents will do almost anything to make their grandchildren smile.

This is a story about an eager little girl, and loving grandfather who knows that there is more to fishing than catching a fish.
